Comments Best fishing we have ever had! We both beat our personal bests with in the first 24 hours. We started of in swim 2. We had a stroke of luck though because there was no one in swim 3 which meant we could cast our bait to the far margin and then go round and bait up. This proved a good spot. Although for me the most productive spot was a couple of rod lengths of the front of the swim. I had 5 fish in one day off of it.
The baits we were using was 18mm cc Moore meteor boilies as hook baits and using pellet, corn and 14mm meteors as free bees. As the week went on the weather got colder and wetter this turned the fish off the feed. The best way I found around this was to bait very lightly 3 or 4 boilies max around your bait at one time. When I did this my catch rate began to rise again. On the last day we thought we would move to swim five as there was no one there and we fancied a change of scenery. I fished the right hand side and adopted the light baiting tactic. In the first half an hour I had 4 runs and three fish on the bank the biggest being my new pb of 36lb 6oz. well worth the move!!!
I would advise anyone to get the food package as it was the best food I have ever had. Better than bacon and sausage rolls for a week. As a last thing I would like o thank Jeff and Ale for a wonderful time and I look forward to our next visit.

Comments What a fantastic weeks fishing.. It’s the first time I have been to France for fishing and managed to beat my personal best 11 times in one week with the largest being a shade under 32lb. Jeff and Ale looked after us for the whole week with fantastic food, and Jeff was always ready to help us if we needed any help or advice really couldn’t of asked for anymore. This place really is that good. One point I must make the weeks fishing started really slow for me but I was using prepared particles, once I moved onto halibut pellets and bollies the fishing took off.
Again thanks Jeff and Ale for a really enjoyable week and we are booking to come back later in the year.

Comments A Fantastic fishing holiday, weather was great. Big carp caught everyday with a lot of action at night from midnight to dawn.
Most fish were taken on boilies over pellet, the ones bought onsite were best, 14 or 18mm both worked well. Jeff was a great help with fishing and tactics and we recommend the food package. Ale's cooking was fantastic and she looked after us with excellent meals.
A real allround holiday experience, we are already planning next years trip.
Many thanks to you all for making this the most memorable holiday of our lives, we can't wait to be back next year!
I (Steve) caught 15 carp. Including a personal best of 41-12
Mike, Colin and Steve.

Comments The 3 of us fished this lake from 3.5.2008 to 10.5.2008 staying 7 nights. Our total catch was 61 with the best of the week a 38lb 4oz mirror.
As mentioned in other reports this water has plenty of potential. Our full summary for the week was:
Mick fished out of Swim 1, Tony out of 2, and Jeff out of three. Our smallest fish was 18 lbs and the biggest 38.04 lbs. Jeff managed to catch 3 out of 7 grassies stocked in the lake but only managed to land one at 22.04 lbs. We all managed to lose a few fish as well and we reckon we had at least 75 takes in total.
There was one other smaller fish caught and it's worth looking out for. As the bailiff Jeff stocked it, and Jeff caught it we have named it "Jeff" and it's an unmistakable linear currently weighing in at about 12 lbs. We look forward to following it's progress.
We thought the venue was extremely well run and the facilities excellent. Jeff and Ale were extremely helpful and we reckon this could be a venue of the future. The rules are sensible and the lake is very quiet and well planned out. With the stamp of fish currently coming out, in two years time as long as anglers keep putting the bait in, and these fish sure like bait, then this water could be chock full of forties, thirties, and high twenties. They are also some of the hardest fighting fish we have come across.
Our bait was Poacher Baits superb new PRB boilies and the fish loved it. PRB is a mid-protein birdfood bait flavoured with pear, raspberry and banana. The bait was fished successfully on it’s own, over both pellet and spod mix, and in PVA bags. We used quite a few different rigs and they all seemed to work whether they involved pop-ups, bottom baits or snowman setups. Stiff or braided rigs and combi-rigs also all worked. It’s a new water so they haven’t worked the rigs out yet. You definitely do not need anything complicated.
The water was quite high when we were there but it didn't seem to matter. Looking at reports it seems that a lot of fishing has been done in the margins but we found a few open water spots and just kept working them. We lost a few when margin fishing so please be careful about what margin spot you choose. To the right and left of Swim 3 is a bit snaggy but this may get better as the water continues to drop. Also, look for the features and fish to them. For example, in front of Swim 1 there is a bar which rises by only about a foot onto a largish plateau. It's not very far out and many guys probably wouldn't fish to it but Mick did really well fishing in the gully before the gravel rises to the plateau edge.
Expect an early morning alarm call. You can get a bite almost at any time in the night but they seem to go mad from about 5 am to 9 am. Between us we always had 3 or 4 during that period. If you get an early bite get the rod back out there because you'll probably get another bite from the recast. Although some anglers have had big hits during the day there were times when we found it hard to get bites then particularly as the week wore on and it got hotter and hotter. If that's the case from 6 pm it livens up again.
A bait boat is useful for a number of obvious reasons but also because there are open water areas that you might like to cast to that you can't because of trees growing at the side of the swims. Swims 1 and 3 suffer from this whereas Swims 4 and 5 don't.
Enjoy Juvanze.

Comments I had 14 fish in 5 days. 3 Grass Carp to 33lb and Mirrors / Commons to 29lb. Others had a total of 18 fish to 32lb. We found the best tactic was casting very tight under trees on the far bank using mix of Hemp/Maize/Boilies and Pellet. The facilities were first class and we were very happy with them. We would definitely recommend the venue.
Juvanze is a lovely water. Excellent Fish / Jeff's a Legend!

Comments Fished Juvanze with my wife and daughter. The weather was poor with lots of rain, sleet at times and very cold at night. Water level was up over the platforms just to make it harder. Jeff put us on the right spots fishing long distance tight up to snags with baitboat. Despite being fairly novice at these tactics we caught nine fish the best being a 32lb common. We lost as many as we caught and had a brilliant week.
Nothing was too much trouble for Jeff, even retreiving our bait boat from the island. The food was brilliant, loads of it and top quality. This is a stunning location, virtually unspoilt and I am sure that with better weather you will not find better. Just trying to find another date when the sun will shine.

Comments Fishing was hard work due to weather; snow, hail, rain and more rain, but we all had fish. Jeff and Ali were fantastic, very helpful, the food was great thanks to Ali. If you want great fishing and food you wont beat this venue.
Facilities were A1. Cannot fault it, toilet and shower very clean and stayed hot, not like some in france. We used boilies over a bed of pellets in the margins. Baitboat was an advantage as you can get close in to the branches on the far margin.

Comments I fished for four nights in cold, wet and windy conditions. I had a new PB mirror of 43.12 on the first evening and went on to catch 16 fish. Most were caught close to an island with pellets and boilies.

Comments Lake Juvanze is a very pretty, well run fishery with bags of potential. The fish in the lake are packing on the weight and maintaining their looks. Jeff is very helpful and is always willing to help. Food was brilliant and would definitely come back again. Great place, great host, super fishing. If you have never fished in France and you like a great atmosphere when fishing, this has got to be the place to try first. Then try the rest.

Comments Great fishing, we caught from the start even though the weather was cold going down to minus 4oC. We fished with 16 mm boilies over pellets. We found that more bait meant more fish. One day we spodded 15 kg of boilies ,4 hours later 8 fish were landed in 1 mad, mad hour. This included 2 thirties and 6 twenties.
Food was excellent. Jeff was great, nothing was too much trouble for him. Jeff was a great laugh, ha ha ha.
Best fishing we have ever had coming back next year for 2 weeks. Even Rocky who has never fished before and forgot half his gear caught fish to 32lbs, incredible! This is a must for anglers that want to come to France and catch plenty of fish, it happens here. Lots of luck everybody, you’ll have a great time here.

Comments Great lake fished well I had 14 mirrors, the best. Average weight was 24. 8 fish in under 12 hours. Weather was up and down the whole time. I would come back again Kevin.
Being the most inexperienced out of the lot, Jeff helped me and I managed to pull two thirties out of the lake. Excellent food as well, definitely coming again. Gary

Comments Jeff has worked very hard at the lake, the swims are a masterpiece. It looks very much like an English estate lake. It has a lodge at one end with clean and modern shower and toilet. Food is served at the lodge with a stunning view across the lake. Jeff is a great host, very helpful and a good carp angler as well. I only fished for three nights. All the fish were immaculate condition and the grass carp was incredible. The fish fight like mad. This is one of the better lakes in France I’ve been to. Action was brilliant and the fish responded to most things I tried. Give this lake a try, once word is out this lake will be packed.

Comments Crazy fishing, never experienced anything like this. We both had two fish on at once at the same time twice! We caught most fish at close range fishing single 18mm boilies over a large bed of pellets boilies. Fishing was so tiring that we brought the rods in on the third night for a rest!

Comments We fished for 12 nights during this three week work party. Fishing was very easy, the best day for one angler was 26 carp, 19 over 20lbs! Most of the fish were caught using pva bags of pellets with boilie and artificial corn hookbaits.
