Chris – 18 Fish – Started in Peg 2 – 3 fish – 1 Hi Double & 2 x Hi 20’s – moved into Peg 5 from Tuesday – 15 Fish – 2 x Hi Doubles, 9 x 20’s & 4 x 30’s to 39lb 8ozs. :: What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fishing to far margin/snags but not close - 2-3m from them with occasional fish coming from the near margin. Fish came to simple standard rigs and bottom baits with approximately a 50/50 split between daylight/night captures. Most of Steve’s fish came to “The Cell” in 18mm Dumbells with back up/roving spot producing to “Smokey Mackerel” Chris’s fish came to either MCF “Pink Mix” or Essential “B5”- hook baits being 2 x 14mm in the main. :: Were the facilities what you expected? Better than expected – very clean & tidy. :: Were you happy with them? – More than happy. :: Would you recommend this venue to a friend? – Yes – ideal venue for those wanting a venue with plenty of fit growing fish that like their food. :: General comments: The lake has good potential with young fish still growing with the chance of something special. Run by a keen angler who is willing to help where required but not interfere unless asked. Good Luck for the future.

Name of customer: David Long. Brief details of your catches: Total 39 carp. 4 x high doubles. 9 x 20-25lb. 11 x 25-30lbs. 13 x 30 plus (34.12 mirror, 34.0 common, 33.4 mirror, 34.12 mirror, 30.4 mirror, 36.4 mirror, 30.06 mirror, 33.6 mirror, 34.0 common, 35.8 mirror, 37.8 mirror, 38.0 mirror, 30.8 mirror). 2 x 40 plus (46.8 mirror, 43.12 mirror). What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Fishing boilies seemed to work the best, we experimented with pellets but didn't get the same results. Keep a close eye on the water as the fish show themselves consistently so you can understand their movements / feeding patterns etc. Finally, there is no need to fish too tight to snags. Were the facilities what you expected? Better than expected. The shower / toilet is modern and clean, plus there is a table and chairs outside the main hut where you can sit for meals. Were you happy with them? Absolutely, the swims were also very clean and tidy. Would you recommend this venue to a friend? Without a doubt. This is a fantastic lake with a superb head of carp, there are some real belters. If your party is small, then you should definitely consider fishing Lake Juvanze! General comments: This was the best week's fishing we have had in France for captures. Numerous personal bests were caught and everyone enjoyed themselves. Jeff the owner / bailiff was helpful and offered advice when asked and listened to our comments too. I cannot rate this lake highly enough, the catch reports, customer feedback and pictures / videos that you see on the lake's website speak for themselves. I would definitely come back!
